Greetings; welcome to my UofA website;

From 1 July 2005 to 13 January 2009, I worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Rural Economy, at the University of Alberta. I spent 40 per cent of my time on teaching, 40 per cent on research and 20 per cent on service (extension, knowledge translation etc).

On teaching. I taught three courses per year; one course in small business management (AREC 323) to third year undergraduate (average enrolment 90 students), intermediate economics (AREC 200) to second year undergraduate students (average enrolment 60 students), and a graduate level course in agricultural marketing (AREC 584) (enrolment 11 students).

On research. Some of my work has been published in leading peer review journals and presented in conferences such as the AAEA, CAES, WAEA and AIC. The bulk of the work I am involved in has not yet been published yet however.

On service. I have been involved in the AASUA, CAES, WAEA and IFASA Value Added Meats Program as council and executive council representative.
