The University of Alberta Sexual Assault Centre offers innovative and dynamic workshops that educate about sexual assault and healthy relationships on campus. Peer facilitators create a safe and comfortable environment by encouraging group discussion, interjecting humour and the use of roleplay.  Workshops are offered in 80, 120, and 150-minute sessions at no cost to the group.

 

Workshops:

Working for Change

  • learn about sexual assault and its impact on women and men
  • expand awareness of the issue of sexual assault by exploring personal attitudes and behaviors
  • build support skills for handling disclosures of sexual assault

Building Healthy Relationships

  • discuss healthy, unhealthy and abusive relationships
  • explore the cycle of violence and factors that affect individuals in abusive relationships
  • learn support skills and resources for handling disclosures of abuse
