There are a few choices for recreational play.
1. Campus Recreation sets up campus recreational leagues for Ultimate (Frisbee), you'll have to talk to them on that one.
2. University of Alberta Ultimate Club runs a winter season, once and a week, from usually the beginning of November till the end of March at the Kinsmen Field House. To sign up for this one you'll have to wait until we get more information (It will be sent through email and posted on the site).
3. We have men/women's practices for the University Nationals. However, these practices are pretty neat, because we tailor to all skill levels. You can come out and not even want to play in University Nationals. It's just practice.
4. The EUPA (Edmonton Ultimate Players Association) also has a winter league that starts up about the same time as the University of Alberta Ultimate Club's winter league. You'll have to go to www.eupa.ca to sign up for that one.

I am not quite sure... However, they tend to start the week right after school starts.
I think the best person to ask would be one of the girls that play in the competitive women's. One of them should give you the answer or lead you to someone who can answer it. Check their site at http://www.eupa.ca/EWU/default.aspx. I hope that helps.
