Welcome to the Optoelectronics and Green Photonics Lab.

Looking for new PhD students

The group is looking for 2 highly motivated Master students (or exceptional Bachelor students) for PhD study on two topics: 1) machine learning for photonics; 2) quantum dot optoelectronics. Students are expected to start in May or September 2024. The candidates should have MSc or BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering or Physics, and have solid foundation of semiconductor devices and photonics. Previous research experience on FDTD simulation, optoelectronic devices, silicon photonics are preferred. Interested students can email Dr. Wang (xihua@ualberta.ca) directly for inquiry.
