March 17, 2023	Deadline for candidate’s submission of application and supporting documents to University of Alberta International (UAI) through the University of Alberta International Government of Canada Scholarships Research Application Form
March 28, 2023	Deadline for University of Alberta International submission of screened, eligible applications and supporting documents to the Government of Canada through the Momentum Portal
Spring 2023	Expected final selection and results notification to Canadian institutions. Information will then be shared by the University of Alberta with all candidates (selected, waitlisted, unsuccessful) as soon as possible.
August 1, 2023	Earliest possible program start date.
February 1, 2024	Latest possible program start date. Please plan to start a little earlier than this date. We recommend arriving no later than January 15 for the best research internship experience.

August 1, 2023	Earliest possible program start date Please plan to start later than this date, given how long immigration processes realistically take. Accounting for processing times, the earliest many of our researchers are able to arrive is September, with most arriving between November and January.
February 1, 2024	Latest possible program start date Please plan to start a little earlier than this date. We recommend arriving no later than January 15 for the best research internship experience.
