What's new at the U of A?

Boarding UAlberta
This new initiative brings in Grade 11 students from outside of Alberta to discover the U of A and Edmonton.

Augustana Calendar
Augustana Campus in Camrose has introduced a new 3-week / 11-week academic schedule.

Lister residence 
We're expanding! Our fifth Lister residence tower is under construction and scheduled to open for Fall 2018.

PLLC residence
The Peter Lougheed Leadership College is opening a new residence, Peter Lougheed Hall, which will be open to all students beginning this September. (The PLLC program itself will remain application-based, for upper-year students).

Counsellor Events

We host counsellor update workshops for high school counsellors across Canada. Come ask questions and to network with fellow counsellors!


We offer one-on-one advising for students throughout the year both on and off campus as well as online. No matter what their questions are about the U of A, admissions, and university life, we've got them covered!

Indigenous students?

The University of Alberta is home to a welcoming and growing community of over 1,200 First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students.

Our Indigenous Students page contains more information about admission options, including the Transition Year Program, as well as student services and support, special events, Indigenous student housing, and more.

We're also able to support Indigenous students who are considering applying for post-secondary through one-on-one advising and assistance with a variety of topics.
