Mature Students

To qualify as a Mature Student, also called Non-Matriculated Student, you must:

  • be 21 years of age or older;
  • have no transferable post-secondary (university or college) experience.

Full admission requirements are outlined on the University of Alberta's admission site. Please review to ensure eligibility before applying.

If you have completed transferable post-secondary coursework, you are no longer considered a Non-Matriculated or Mature Student. You will be considered for admission based on the guidelines for a post-secondary transfer applicant.
