The Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences offers several different awards and grants to help fund extra-curricular and co-curricular student activities. Review the following awards to find the ones for which you are eligible:
Human Ecology International Engagement Grant
With funds donated to the Department of Human Ecology by Mrs. Betty Lortscher, a 1958 Home Economics Alumna for whom international outreach is important, the Department is able to provide Human Ecology undergraduate and graduate students with small grants (between $500 and $1,000) to facilitate student engagement in international education and/or research activities including practica, community service learning, and cross-cultural research. Funds will not be used to support full semester study abroad. Applications are accepted anytime throughout the year. The application and award terms are available here.
Green and Gold Student Leadership and Professional Development Grant
The Green and Gold Student Leadership and Professional Development Grant provides funding to undergraduate and graduate students to develop leadership skills through participation in professional development activities. While this grant encourages and supports travel elsewhere, application for support to participate in local opportunities for which there is a cost are welcomed and considered. Applications for the Green and Gold Grant are accepted on an ongoing basis. Find out more and apply
