Research

Formerly known as the Pulmonary Research Group (PRG), the Alberta Respiratory Centre (ARC) Research at the University of Alberta is a multi-disciplinary centre composed of members who pursue research interests in respiratory disease.

Our studies range from molecular laboratory-based investigations to health outcome measurements, related to disease prevalence and patient care.

ARC Research has a strong basic science research program that promotes close collaborations and interactions with the clinical component of the group, which is mainly based in the Divisions of Pulmonary Medicine and Pediatric Respiratory Medicine at the University of Alberta Hospital.

The goal of ARC Research is to promote and advance novel applied translational studies that bring together basic and clinical scientists in a highly integrated manner, towards hypothesis-driven and thematically-based research.
