Career Centre Speaker Series


This volunteer opportunity is organized through our campus partner:  U of A Career Centre.

This Career Centre Speaker Series gathers 5-6 speakers to talk about their career experiences. The forums are intended to offer a glimpse into some of the possibilities that are available. Volunteer speakers will present to students on their job, the steps they took to get there and offer pertinent career advice.

  • Comfortable presenting in front of a group
  • Willingness to open up about your own career path and experiences, and to offer advice to new professionals/students in your field
  • Have pursued a career related to the Speaker Series topic you are volunteering to present at

Key Responsibilities:

  • Share your career story with attendees
  • Provide meaningful advice for attendees
  • Network with attendees and fellow presenters after the panel and Q&A are finished
