Congratulations to Aaron Denham, who recently received a Graduate Student Teaching Award for his outstanding work as a sessional instructor in the Department of Anthropology.

Aaron is completing his PhD thesis, entitled "The Family Vulnerabilities and the Multivocal Discourse Surrounding Intentional Infant and Child Death in Northern Ghana" and has used his knowledge and experience when teaching undergraduate courses for the Department.

The Graduate Student Teaching Award is administered by UTS (Undergraduate Teaching Services) and is awarded only to graduate students who are considered outstanding teachers. They must exhibit a superior command of the subject matter, be respected and trusted by students, and instill interest and enthusiasm in students. This is certainly true of Aaron, who was nominated by the Department following a suggestion from one of his students.

The Department of Anthropology is lucky to have graduate students, and teachers, like Aaron Denham, and would like to congratulate him on his award.
