U of A Anthropology PhD student Clint Westman recently received a SSHRC Post-Doctoral Fellowship to conduct research at Universit? de Montr?al, from 2008-2010.

Clint's proposed post-doctoral research, on Aboriginal Pentecostalism in Canada, builds on research he undertook in his doctoral thesis, Understanding Cree Religious Discourse. In his doctoral research, Clint looks at the development of Pentecostalism among Cree communities in northern Alberta. For post-doctoral research, Clint will examine Pentecostal missions on the national scale. This research is timely as Pentecostalism is a major religious movement in many Aboriginal communities, which has not been fully studied by scholars. Clint and family are looking forward to life in Montreal.
