Dr. Hamed Vahdatinasab (former Baikal Archaeology Project Genetics Module Postdoctoral Fellow) and his archaeological team have recently discovered Iran's largest Paleolithic site. The middle-Paleolithic site spans 4 hectares and contains a wealth of Neanderthal artifacts.
