The Department congratulates Dr. Carly McLafferty Dokis on her acceptance of a tenure track position with Nipissing University's Department of Anthropology.
A recipient of the Canadian Anthropology Society's Richard F. Salisbury Award, Carly earned her PhD in Anthropology at the University of Alberta in 2010, and took up a SSHRC postdoctoral award at Nipissing. Her dissertation serves as the basis for the book Where the Rivers Meet: Development and Participatory Management in the Sahtu Region, Northwest Territories, forthcoming from UBC Press.
