Self Inspection Program

The self – inspection is designed to help prevent incidents, injuries and illnesses by proactively identifying and controlling hazards in the work areas. The self – inspection should be undertaken by all staff members in the high hazard work areas in the Fine Arts (Drama, Art & Design and Music) and Psychology Machine Shop.

The inspection should be completed once every two months or as frequency to be determined by the nature of activities in the work area. The duration of each inspection will be determined by the uniqueness of any given work area. Copies of the completed inspection reports should be forwarded to the health and safety representative of each department and to the Faculty Health and Safety Coordinator for review. Findings will be logged in a tracker by the Health and Safety Coordinator in order to track the implementation of identified controls. Use the following link to access the self-inspection form:
