Working Alone Protocol

Working alone is considered a psychosocial hazard in the workplace.  Working alone is to be working in circumstances where assistance is not readily available in the event of an emergency, illness, or injury.

Rule number one is to try not to work alone, but if you must, then look at creating a plan or check with your Assistant Chair to follow the plan developed by your Department or Faculty. Use the following EHS resources to create your plan: Working alone template and Working alone guidelines.
