Avenue Magazine has released its annual list of Edmonton's Top 40 under 40! As always, our Faculty of Arts alumni are well represented. Marina Banister - President, University of Alberta Students' Union; student, political science. "She's committed to a vibrant and diverse political life for her university, her city, her province and her country."

Junaid Jahangir ('03 MA, '11 PhD) - Assistant Professor, Economics, MacEwan University; Writer; Activist. "He works to further the dialogue against Islamophobia and homophobia and serves as a role model for marginalized groups."

Ashley Janssen ('06 BA) - Co-Founder and CEO, Code and Effect.

"She's taken an unconventional path to entrepreneurship, and uses her experience to help others succeed."

Ben King ('11 MDes) - Independent industrial designer; instructor, Art & Design, University of Alberta.

"He is one of the first to marry industrial design with the creation of medical devices."

Andrew Parker ('08 BA, '14 BEd) - Teacher and coach, M.E. Lazerte High School; Director, Pride of the Northside; director and coach AGP Flight School.

"He's leading youths in the right direction through sports - and helping to establish community pride."
