Be warned, a side effect of participating in the School in Cortona is making lifelong friends with whom you've shared an experience of a lifetime!
- Ask someone to be your reference. Your reference can be anyone you know in a professional or academic capacity who can vouch that you would be a good candidate for the School in Cortona. Previous students have approached professors, employers, high school teachers and coaches. You’ll need their email address to complete the Application Form. An online survey will be sent to them which they must complete to process your application.

Note: If you are a non-UAlberta student, and you would like to transfer credit from the School in Cortona to your current academic program, you will also need to apply for “Visiting Student” status at UAlberta.

You will be asked to provide a “Letter of Permission” from your home institution and your official transcripts from your home institution and copies of transcripts from any other post-secondary institution that you attended.
