Gems for Four Hands

One piano. Four hands. No other performance style imparts both the intimacy and the sonority of the piano duet. Jacques Després and Viktoria Reiswich-Dapp share the 88 keys of our new Steinway Model D concert grand piano and present masterworks by Mozart, Ravel, Brahms and Dvořák, as well as the crowning gem of the duet repertoire, Schubert's haunting Fantasie in F minor.

2. Bios

Jacques C. Després has concertized professionally for more than four decades. Recordings include the complete keyboard works of Joseph Martin Kraus on the Naxos label. Després has been invited to major schools in North America and Asia, including the Juilliard School, Northwestern University and the Central Conservatory of China (Beijing). Després holds degrees from the University of Stony Brook, Juilliard School of Music, Quebec Conservatory, and Indiana University.

Viktoria Reiswich-Dapp was born in Uzbekistan and grew up in Germany. Her artistry across a wide range of genres and styles has earned her recognition around the world. A recipient of numerous national and international prizes and scholarships, Viktoria teaches piano performance, vocal and instrumental chamber music, piano literature and piano pedagogy at the University of Alberta, and frequently shares her experiences at conferences around the world.
