The Future is Arts
is a Career Development event open to all undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts. At this event you will have the opportunity to hear from speakers who are working in transformative fields. You will learn what industry leaders are looking for, broaden your knowledge of the job market and understand where careers are going. Most importantly, you will learn about the value and importance of your arts degree as we move into the future that is dominated by technology.
When is it?
The Future of Arts takes is on Wednesday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m - 8:00 p.m. Registration is required. Register here.
Why do I need to register?
Students are required to register as space at this event is very limited. We recommend you register early to secure a spot. The Future of Arts will only be held this year, so don’t miss out on this opportunity!
What if I can no longer attend?
If you can no longer attend The Future is Arts, please contact us right away at firstname.lastname@example.org, as this will allow us to accommodate anyone on our wait list.
What is the format of the evening?
Student participants will be split into two rooms to hear from 4-5 speakers. Each speaker will present for approximately 5 minutes in a ted-talk style presentation. After the presentations there will be an open question period. At 6:30 there will be a quick break for food and then students will switch rooms to hear from the other speakers. After, everyone will gather for a networking session with all speakers.
What can I expect?
You can expect to learn about career options for your degree programs that you might not have thought about before. You will have a better idea of where your Arts degree can take you and the importance of your skills in the future workplace. You will have the opportunity to practice your networking skills by meeting and building connections with industry leaders.

No problem, we are here to help! On Tuesday, March 3 at 5:30 p.m. we will be hosting a workshop for all Arts students on Networking
