Pathways Program

The Pathways Program is a collaboration between Community Service-Learning (CSL) and the Faculty of Arts. It offers a range of engagement opportunities within the non-profit sector.

The program consists of 3 parts: the Certificate in Community Engagement and Service-Learning, the Non-Profit Board Internship Program, and a limited number of paid 14 week summer internships with local non-profit organizations.** Five internships are available, as part of the program, in the summer of 2018. Recruitment details for summer 2019 to follow.

Eligibility Requirements:

 Open to full-time Arts undergraduate students who met the following requirements:

  • Completed at least *60 credits
  • Completed at least one CSL course or a course with a CSL component
  • Satisfactory academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA for most Arts programs - see U of A calendar for full details)
  • Intent to return to the University of Alberta in the fall

**AWE students who qualify for and are committed to completing the full Pathways Program may be able to count the summer internship towards completion of their co-op designation. Please contact Amber Nicholson at amber.nicholson@ualberta.ca with questions about that option.
