Kier Przyswitt named Sherlock Holmes Athlete of the Week

    First-year Golden Bears swimmer Kier Przyswitt has been named the Sherlock Holmes Athlete of the Week after four podium finishes this weekend in Vancouver.

    The Edmonton, Alta. product earned four top-three finishes at the 2019 Colleges Cup at UBC, nearly setting personal bests in each event. 

    Przyswitt earned one gold, two silvers and one bronze, helping the Bears place fourth in one of their season-opening event. 

    Individually, he finished first in the men's 200m freestyle with a time of 1:49.63, and second in the 100m freestyle with a time of 50.64. 

    He earned a pair of relay medals, including a second in the 200m freesyle relay, and a bronze in the 200m medley relay. Additionally, the Bears placed fourth in the 400m freestyle relay. 

    Przyswitt and the Bears next event will come in three weeks time, when they travel to Lethbridge for the 2019 Canada West Championship
