Academy - Winter

PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY Based on the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Model adopted by Football Canada. Integrated preparation over an entire year while carefully considering long-term holistic development of the individual. Learn to train and prepare to become an elite athlete to maximize the level at which you play. From minor, to high school, to junior, to university, and to professional.

PROGRAM DETAILS Participants will receive instruction at the University of Alberta Football Facility from elite CIS coaches and players. The Program will begin in January and continue until March (to prepare for Spring Camps). Development of fundamental movements, techniques, and tactics as they apply to football. Feedback and assessment of skills in drills and competition.

Dates: Practices are from January 14th to March 11th, 2018
Levels: Junior (Grades 5 to 8) and Senior (Grades 9 to 12) as of January 2018
Positions: All Positions: QB, REC, OL, RB, DL, LB and DB
Register Early - We are limiting the amount for each position. Our academy has turned away athletes due to lack of space so do not delay.

Cost: $400
Where: Foote Field (Dome) - U of A South Campus: 11601 68th Avenue, Edm, AB
Equipment: Participants are required to provide and wear certified Helmets, Shoulder Pads, Pants, Thigh Pads, Knee Pads, Girdle and Mouth Guards. Practice Jerseys will be provided for athletes to keep. Bring your own cleats.
Contact: Athletes will be tackling during the academy. Please be aware that we will be teaching safe contact ahead of time. Consent forms are required.
