The Alberta Golden Bears claimed their second-straight Canadian University bronze medal, beating the UNB Varsity Reds 7-0 Sunday afternoon in Toronto.

The Bears earned three decisive wins in the doubles tie, while also winning all six singles matches. This is the eighth-straight season the Bears have claimed a national medal, and the fourth-straight season in which they have done so competing apart from the Pandas.

After dropping their semifinal match to the eventual champion Montreal Carabins, the Bears responded with a stellar performance against UNB. The Bears dropped just six games over three doubles matches, earning 8-3, 8-3, and 8-0 wins. Ryan Townsend, Daniel Henschel and Sindey Yap also impressed in the top three singles matches, each winning 6-1, 6-0.

Jordan Sluchinski (7-6, 6-2), Neel Phaterpekar (6-2, 6-0), and Michal Ostrzygalo (6-0, 6-0) also won their respective singles matches on Sunday.
