Day of Service

Keen to gain some DIY construction skills? Volunteer your elbow grease to improving Stoney Creek Park and trail system for skiers and runners at the Augustana Day of Service. After lunch, take part in an optional summer luge lesson or a nature walk through the trail system to learn the importance of Camrose's urban forest.

When: Saturday, August 24, 2019

Time commitment: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Expectations: Through this event, you will:

  • Boost your building skills.
  • Improve the trail system in Camrose.
  • Learn from past and present Augustana professors!

Move-In Day

Remember when you moved into residence in your first year, and a gaggle of rowdy red shirts swept all of your worldly possessions up into your room? Recall those early mornings when you returned as an O-Team member to help others experience the same on their first day? Now is your chance to #reliveyouryouth and join the special throwback O-Team 2019!

When: Sunday, August 25, 2019

Time commitment: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Expectations: Through this event, you will:

  • Help students move into residence and visit your old stomping grounds.
  • Meet returning students, new students and parents!
  • Enjoy free food, a free t-shirt and a fun-filled day of volunteerism!

Grade 7 Science Fair Judge

The Augustana Science Fair is a collaboration with the Battle River School Division and Elk Island School Division to offer science mentorship and fair experience for Grade 7 students in Camrose, Alberta. We welcome staff, faculty, alumni and community members to act as Fair judges.All judges will receive training on how to appropriately judge Fair projects.

When: Thursday, December 12, 2019

Time commitment: 3 - 4 hours

Expectations: Through this event, you will:

  • Judge Grade 7 science projects using a provided rubric.
  • Engage with Grade 7 students and other judges from the Camrose area.
  • Present your top rated projects to fellow judges to determine Science Fair winners.

Our Alumni Office offers various event volunteer opportunities throughout the year from Move-In to Convocation to Alumni Hot Chocolate Cafés. By signing up as a Campus Ambassador you will invited to volunteer opportunities throughout the year. You can choose how you become involved depending on where you live, your interests and your availability.
