Ski Library

Hit the trails with the Augustana Library and Campus Recreation! Take advantage of Augustana Campus' amazing location, situated right on 16 km of groomed ski trails. Twenty full sets of classic technique Cross Country skis are now available in the Augustana Library to Augustana Students, Faculty and Staff (only) who have completed a one-time orientation session.

In addition to the lending library, there is an active, free, programming component supported by Campus Recreation and the Vikings Nordic Club Team, including Learn-to-Ski sessions and Social Ski Meet-ups (temporarily unavailable due to COVID). Students, Faculty & Staff who have their own ski gear can also attend the free programming.

Orientation

Orientations have been moved to an online version.

All Orientation sessions take place in the Library unless otherwise indicated. At this time, no registration is required. Orientation includes gear fitting, care expectations, trail etiquette and safety. Upon completion (about 20 minutes), you'll receive a form/certificate that will allow you to enjoy Ski Library borrowing privileges.

Learn-to-Ski

Open to Students, Faculty & Staff - join us for classic technique Cross Country Ski Lessons! At this time, no registration is required - drop-in and join the fun! All lessons begin from the Founders' Hall steps.

Ski Meet-ups

Grab some Library skis or bring your own - here's a great chance to drop-in socialize and get outside on the trails! Meet-ups begin from the Founders' Hall steps.
