Despite the cold weather outside and the final-yet dreaded-arrival of our snowy season, we welcomed guests into the Luther and Florence Olson Welcome Centre of Founder's Hall to share our appreciation of philanthropy on our campus and in our community.

On the morning of Thursday, November 17th, the Augustana Development Office held our first annual celebration of National Philanthropy Day®. We were joined by our colleagues and donors to chat over light refreshments in the spirit of philanthropy.

National Philanthropy Day® is a movement that exists for the purpose of recognizing philanthropy in action, as well as to appreciate those who go above and beyond to support their communities. Philanthropy takes many forms on our campus; from charitable donations and sponsorships, to volunteering for events, to the small acts committed every day to benefit our students and our community. Your gifts mean so much to us.

At Augustana, we are able to boast the strength of our community due to the dedicated individuals it is made up of. As the recipients of the dedicated and generous community that we belong to, we extend a sincere thank you to all who have taken part in philanthropy at Augustana. We hope to see you at our National Philanthropy Day® celebration next year!
