Happy Wednesday! Classes are over, exams are coming up, and summer is just around the corner. Look below to learn about some important end-of-the-year student information on awards and financial aid, as well as next year's course registration, and opportunities for returning students to get involved in some fun volunteer work! Last week, we celebrated students, staff, faculty, and community members at the Student Life Awards. Take a look inside the Weekly for photo highlights of the evening, including a number of award recipients that you may (definitely) know! You'll also find information on upcoming campus events, notices, contests, and community/North Campus events and opportunities, as well as student job postings. Have a great week, and happy studying!

  • The Augustana Faculty Awards and Financial Aid Application deadline for returning students is April 30! It's quick, easy, and painless-complete it online before it's too late! Also, if you're involved with on-campus or community service and/or leadership activities, you'll want to fill out the supplemental Service and Leadership Awards Application. Find both at
  • ECO Move Out runs today until April 30! EMO takes place at all UAlberta residences to make it easier for students to recycle or donate unwanted items. Items are being collected in the Dish (Ravine Residences) and in the entrance of FYD.
  • Please note that parking enforcement will continue to take place through the break and all exams.
  • From April 16 to August 16, the Cashiers' Office will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. They will resume regular hours (10:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday to Friday) beginning August 19.
  • If you're a student who will be graduating this year, did you know that your alumni perks include library access? Check out this story to learn about an Alumni ONEcard!
  • See safety happening? Snap a photo and send it to the Environment, Health & Safety office on North Campus-they're looking for images of people working (and learning!) safely. Maybe it's that coworker with the neon lab coat or the student who climbs a ladder like a pro…snap a photo and send it our way! Photos will be part of a travelling exhibit for Safety and Health Week (May 6 to 11) and you could win big! Contest runs until May 1. Details here.

  • All returning students can now register for the 2019/20 term in BearTracks! If you need help, book an appointment with an Advisor or find them at one of their pop-up times (see the poster below). Register before you leave for the summer to ensure you get the courses you need!
  • Are you interested in helping First Year Students move into residence next year? Join the ASA's O-Team, a service the ASA organizes to help move in First Years into dorms to help organize and reduce traffic the day of move in. It is happening August 25, however, volunteers are able to move in early on the 24. This year we are providing two shifts for volunteers throughout the day, with the first from 10 am to 1 pm, and the second from 1 pm to 4 pm. If you want to sign up for both, feel free! Lunch (caf lunch bags) and dinner (pizza) are provided throughout the day. You will also get a volunteer t-shirt, and there are chances to win prizes at the end of the day! Make sure to sign up using the google form. If you have any questions, email Jennae at
