  • Our wireless internet, UWS, will be down for 15 minutes late Wednesday night as a result of an update. The service outage is expected to last for up to 15 minutes anytime from 10 to 11 pm.
  • The Augustana Library is still looking for participants for their student feedback survey focus groups which will take place next Monday and Tuesday. You provide the insight, we'll provide the food! RSVP now.
  • The deadline to register for the Student Academic Conference has been extended to November 25. Register now at https://www.ualberta.ca/augustana/research/student/credit/sac.

August 5, 2016, was one of the heaviest air traffic days on record. 12,856 planes carrying 1,590,929 people were in the sky at the same moment. I wonder where everyone was going…

  • At the 2019 CCAA All-Conference in Cross Country Running held in Grande Prairie last weekend, Michio Green placed 8th and Reese Bendiksen placed 10th. Congratulations!
  • Wow, awake the quake! The women's basketball team is on a six-game winning streak and ranking first in the North Division.
  • Men's basketball team is ranked 2nd in the North Division after sweeping Grande Prairie Regional College last weekend. Go Vikings, go!
  • Our women's volleyball team is on a four-game winning streak and is ranked 2nd in the North Division. Well done, keep up the good work!

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

  • Check out the latest issue of Spectrum (the University of Alberta's undergraduate research journal). They're also accepting submissions for the Winter 2020 issue (the deadline for submission is December 1, 2019).
  • We're now accepting abstract submissions for FURCA 2020, which takes place March 9 to 13, 2020! Undergrad students in any discipline may apply to present research in various formats, including posters, oral presentations, performances, and visual art exhibits. The deadline for submissions is January 24, 2020.
