  • 12 credits in Core Environmental Studies courses
  • 6 credits in Ecology
  • 3 credits in Earth Science
  • 6 credits in Environmental Perspectives
  • 3 credits in Applied Environmental Studies
  • AUECO 101

  • any 6 overlapping credits at the 400 level from any required or optional course listed for the Environmental Science or Environmental Studies programs

BSc in Environmental Science

Additional non-overlapping requirements:

  • 6 credits in Applied Environmental Studies
  • 3 credits in Outdoor Experience or Practica
  • 6 Additional science credits
  • 6 Chemistry credits
  • 3 Mathematics credits (Excluding AUMAT 107)

BA in Environmental Studies (general stream)

Additional non-overlapping requirements:

  • 6 credits in Environmental Perspectives or Additional Science courses 
  • 6 credits in Applied Environmental Studies
  • 3 credits in Outdoor Experience or Practica

BA in Environmental Studies (outdoor education stream)

  • Certification in wilderness emergency care; and instructor-level certification in two outdoor education activities such as skiing, canoeing, or orienteering (these certifications must be current on the date of graduation).
