Look for your favourite professors in one of three sections of campus, where department chairs and their faculty will host hors d'oeurve receptions. A great opportunity for photos and a chance to introduce your family to your professors! Fine Arts & Humanities will host in the Faith & Life Lounge, Science will host in the Wahkohtowin Lodge and Social Sciences will host in the Forum.
Students can also pick up their printed bell-ringing photos (which were taken on the last day of classes in April) as a gift from the Dean's Office at the Forum Information Desk, and enjoy the fun photo booth after the ceremony.
Guest tickets are reserved for graduands who advise us of their intention to attend the ceremony. There is no cost associated with guest tickets.
For the Spring convocation ceremonies, graduands are eligible for four guest tickets. Guest tickets are in addition to the graduand's ticket. Beginning on March 15, graduands may obtain their allotted numbers of tickets from the Learning, Advising, and Beyond Office on the 2nd Floor of Founders’ Hall.
The actual number of additional seats available is not known until graduands pick up their tickets. The Augustana Registrar’s Office therefore reserves the right to change the number of guest tickets, as required, according to graduand attendance.
*If you were unable to get enough tickets for your family and friends and would like to bring them, we will be live streaming the ceremony from our chapel. Please note only the balcony will be open to seating.
Can I get extra guest tickets?
Extra tickets may become available as graduands take less than their maximum. Starting on April 16, additional tickets will be made available at the Learning, Advising & Beyond Office (2nd Floor Founder’s Hall) on a discretionary first-come, first-served basis. Students wanting a significant number of extra tickets may be placed on a waiting list, and contacted as more tickets become available.
Given the limited seating in the convocation hall, there is no guarantee that extra tickets will be available.
Parking is available in all Augustana parking areas on Convocation Sunday (please adhere to posted Parking Restriction signs). Barrier-free spaces are available on the east side of the Faith and Life entrance.
Please plan for extra time to get to Convocation. Campus will be busy with many other students and their families heading to Convocation.
If you or any of your guests require special seating (i.e. wheelchair seating) please contact the Augustana Registrar’s Office at 780-679-1185.
