Rev. Craig Wentland
A gifted preacher, teacher and pastor; and a man of wisdom, humour and compassion, Pastor Craig is well equipped to build on the strengths of the past and create a strong campus ministry program in this new secular environment.
The chaplain's position has been broadened to include some teaching and counselling which will give him added exposure to students, staff and faculty. This will help to increase both the visibility and credibility of Campus Ministry. Pastor Craig is part of the complement of professors needed to offer a four year degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy, a degree that had previously not been possible.
Please feel free to pass by and visit Rev. Craig Wentland.
Sara Smith, Assistant for Chaplaincy
The Assistant for Chaplaincy organizes and coordinates the activities of Campus Chaplaincy. Sara's office is a busy and happening place: resource room, meeting place, counselling centre, hang-out spot, craft workshop, and generally great spot to be. Come say hello!
The Student Chaplains assist in nurturing faith in the University context by encouraging and supporting other Augustana students in their personal and corporate life of faith. Together with the Chaplain and the Assistant for Chaplaincy, they also provide opportunities for the Augustana community to gather for worship, learning, service to others and building community.
