- Augustana's Traffic and Parking Regulations are strictly enforced at all times during the academic year (September through April) including long weekends, breaks, holidays, and final exam periods.
- Augustana Campus does NOT have reserved or electric plug-in parking available.
How do I purchase a parking permit?
Parking Permits can be purchased online beginning mid-July. A link will be posted here when they are available. Otherwise, print off the appropriate form, complete it, and bring it with you in September. Permits can be purchased in person at the the Student and Residence Services Office in the Learning Commons, 2nd Floor Library.
What about parking in Loading Zones and Fire Lanes?
Parking is prohibited in ALL Fire Lanes at ALL times. “Fire Lanes” are NOT “Loading Zones.” Augustana has provided marked “Loading Zones” in which you are allowed 15 minutes to unload/load your vehicle. You must activate your emergency flashers.
When does Parking Enforcement begin?
When you arrive on campus in September, you must make arrangements during registration for a parking permit if you intend to park your vehicle on campus. Ticketing and Towing will commence on the Friday of the first week of classes. After that date, you may purchase a parking permit from Student and Residence Services, located in the Learning Commons, 2nd Floor Library), between the hours of 8:30 am - noon, and 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
What if I bring a different vehicle?
If you know the license plate number of the vehicle you will use on an alternate basis, you must transfer your permit to the alternate vehicle and register it with the Student and Residence Services Office. If you bring an alternate vehicle that has not been previously registered, park it on the city street and come to Student and Residence Services (Learning Commons, 2nd Floor Library). You will be given a “Temporary Parking Permit” free of charge to place in the rear window of the vehicle. Temporary parking permits entitle you to park in Student Parking Lots. No fee is charged for a Temporary Parking Permit. Please note that Temporary Parking Permits will be issued for a maximum of two weeks.
Where is visitor parking and who can use it?
A Visitor Parking area is set aside for bona-fide visitors to Augustana in the Faith & Life Parking Lot in the first row facing the building. ALL students and employees are prohibited from using this area, with or without a parking permit, during weekdays between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Students are responsible for informing their friends and guests regarding all parking regulations. A visitor parking area is also available in the Ravine Complex. Residence students are not permitted to park in the Ravine Complex Visitor Parking at any time. For further information, please read the section on Visitor Parking in the Student Handbook.
