About Me

Peter T.L. Popkowski Leszczyc is Professor of Marketing and Director of CampusAuctionMarket and Vice-president of Electronic Communications, INFORMS Society on Marketing. Peter received a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Professor Popkowski Leszczyc is founder and director of CampusAuctionMarket.com, a local internet auction website, which is an important fundraising tool for many local charities. Peter has co-organized numerous online charity auction events on CampusAuctionMarket raising over $4,000,000 for various charities.

He has published over 50 articles, including articles in Marketing Science, Management Science, Journal of Marketing, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Production and Operations Management, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Retailing and many more. His primary research interest is related to auction mechanism design and bidding behavior in auctions. Other research interests include: applications of controlled field experiments, charitable giving, and influence of information on price formation, product bundling, consumer search and shopping behavior, Online Word of Mouth and daily deals.
