Business Alumni Association

Partnership Opportunities

The Business Alumni Association (BAA) represents more than 26,000 graduates from the BCom, MBA, MPM, MFM and PhD programs at the Alberta School of Business.

Our goal is to build and engage a vibrant community of alumni.

Message from the Dean

Since 1916, the innovative ideas, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership of the School’s more than 26,000 alumni have strengthened businesses and communities in our home province and around the globe.

Today, more than ever, the Business Alumni Association (BAA) is a strong partner of the Alberta School of Business and plays a significant role in promoting the work of the School, its students and alumni. In the coming year, I look forward to participating in the BAA’s many dynamic events and programs that help shape the future of our communities and create the leaders of tomorrow. I hope you will join us.

Joseph Doucet

Stanley A. Milner Professor and Dean, Alberta School of Business

Message from the President

The Business Alumni Association is a group of highly motivated individuals with a simple goal of providing value: value to our growing base of alumni, business students and our partners because we believe we are a part of a community of alumni who make an impact.

As the current President of the BAA, I feel lucky to be leading a group of talented, hard-working individuals who have the tenacity to challenge the status quo and continually improve our programs, events and influence in the community year-over-year. I hope that you will help us continue to add value with your support.

Deepa Maisuria

President, Business Alumni Association

Mentorship Program

The BAA coordinates two mentorship programs for MBA students and young alumni protégés.

The purpose of the program is to give students the opportunity to interact and learn from professionals with years of experience, often in their field of interest, while mentors have to opportunity to guide and influence future leaders.

Students are paired with mentors (alumni) for a minimum one year period, however there is no maximum limit.

Both programs have a high degree of participation: 50-70 students and 40-70 mentors
