Our Response to COVID-19

UPDATE Winter 2022

Employers like you have enabled the Alberta School of Careers and Work Integrated Learning team to consistently deliver exceptional experiences to students and have helped prepare the workforce of tomorrow. For that, we thank you.

In the past few weeks, there have been steps taken to return to more normal operations on the U of A campus.  The Alberta School of Business will resume in-person classes beginning March 2022, but there will still be some operational impacts due to COVID.

We are looking to work with our employer partners and be as flexible and accommodating as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic without compromising our program's integrity. Our hope is to see as many students and new graduates as possible employed in 2022.

In the Winter 2022 term, we will continue to engage with all employers to support their recruitment objectives. 

Our processes will include;

• Continued direct connection with all employers who are interested in recruiting Business students. 
• Posting of applicable jobs to CareerConnect.
• Support for job applications and interview scheduling, as requested by employers.
• Marketing of all employer recruitment events (virtual or in-person) that are organized by the employers.

We consistently have 800+ BCom and MBA students in attendance looking for part-time, summer, co-op, MBA Internships, and post-graduation positions.

Note that in-person events are not currently being held. Plans for future events, including a Career Fair, are currently being reviewed with public health measures in mind. In the meantime, we would be more than happy to promote any virtual information/networking session that your organization is considering on our events page.
