The Future of Alberta's Electricity System

We hosted our 4 ^th annual symposium on November 6, 2019 at the Matrix Hotel in Edmonton. This one-day conference featured a variety of speakers and participants from different parts of the electricity industry to provide clarity and advance conversations between stakeholders in Alberta’s electricity system.

Keynote speakers included:

• The Honourable Senator Paula Simons
• Sonya Savage, Minister of Energy (Alberta)
• Jillian Buriak, Canada Research Chair and Professor of Chemistry

The day also featured many research spotlights and discussion focused on our three main panel topics:

• Alberta's evolving electricity market
• What is next for renewables and storage in Alberta?
• Climate change risk, disclosure, and strategy
