Entering Other Strategic Oil and Gas Services Markets: Market Readiness II
Thursday, December 14th, 2017, at
Kahanoff Centre, Room 201
105-12 Avenue SE, Calgary
This linked programs have been collaboratively piloted and delivered by PSAC and the University of Alberta. They explore and demonstrate new market development strategies through practice and theory. They emphasize a hands-on, personal skill-building approach, underpinned with recent research on Alberta- and petroleum services, as well as with foundational theory in international business. Applications in Alberta's oil and gas SME sector are examined throughout, and an "industry teaching industry" philosophy directs the workings. On an individual basis, focus is on developing decision-making, communication, and leadership skills. At a company level, they will enhance your ability to frame market development strategy, analyze problems, create value, negotiate agreements, and resolve areas of conflict or dispute, outside your company or within it. The "Level 1" training (offered on December 13) has been delivered in three different regions of the Province this year, with very strong, positive response. December 14 will be the first time that the "Level 2" training is offered, and is designed with veterans of that earlier training in mind.
The overall cost to attend this certificate program is $450 per person; however PSAC and Alberta Economic Development will underwrite the fee for this. Some pre-attendance "homework" will be requested.
