Michael Corey
Michael Corey is a fourth year Finance major, currently on work term at GE Capital. Michael is also the Vice President External of the U of A Accounting Club, and an External Director for the U of A Marketing Association. Upon graduation, Michael looks forward to traveling as much as his poverty will allow.

Jae Cornelssen
Jae Cornelssen is an Accounting major and is in his final year at the Alberta School of Business. He is an active representative of the University of Alberta, as President of the Operations Management Club, External for Rocky Mountain Business Seminar, and a TA for MGTSC 312/352. Upon graduation Jae plans to pursue his CA designation. He loves to travel and went on an exchange to South Korea in summer 2010.  His other interests include piano, soccer, badminton, running, snowboarding, and going to the gym.
Samuel Dean
Samuel Dean
Samuel Dean is a Marketing major at the Alberta School of Business. An undergraduate degree in Business is typically a four-year program, but Samuel is broadening his horizons by taking part in a fifth year “victory lap”. The additional time on campus has allowed him to become actively involved in a diverse range of University activities. He is currently Vice President External Relations for the University of Alberta Marketing Association, Unit Manager for Campus Recreation, and has two blogs. Most days you can find Samuel in the library writing the next post for the BCom Blog. One day, Samuel hopes to have his own novel published.

Hanif Fazal
Hanif Fazal is in his third year of the Bachelor of Commerce, Co-operative Education program, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He will commence his first co-op work term in January 2011 with Ernst & Young. His involvement within the Alberta School of Business includes being a Student Ambassador and sitting on the executive team of Rocky Mountain Business Seminar (RMBS). Hanif also sits on the executive cabinet for the pledge class of his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta. His other interests includes muay thai, golf, squash, running, snowboarding, and going to the gym.

Michelle Fong is in her third year of university, pursuing her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in Business Law. She is the Vice President of Finance for the Cooperative Education Students Association, and volunteers as an instructor in the Junior Achievement Program. In her spare time she enjoys trying new sports such as snowboarding and bungee-jumping. Michelle loves to travel and plans to visit Italy after graduation.

Erik Hansen is third-year Accounting Major. He is looking for ways to get involved with the School of Business, and is excited to join the Student Ambassador Program. Outside of school, Erik is actively involved in sports; playing hockey during the winter, and lacrosse and golf during the spring and summer. During next summer, Erik will be participating in an internship with KPMG Calgary, and hopes to pursue his CA designation upon graduation in 2012.

Mark Husband is a third year student at the Alberta School of Business pursuing his Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance. Mark enjoys travelling and learning about how people from different cultures live. He is fascinated by the world of finance, especially as the global economy becomes ever more interdependent. Mark enjoys listening to music and playing tennis in his spare time, as well as reading the annual reports of various corporations for fun. Mark joined the Student Ambassador program to become more involved in the Alberta School of Business, and make valuable connections with key leaders in the business community. In the future, Mark wants to use what he learned in school to improve the lives of people in developing countries. He also serves as Vice President, External of the Rocky Mountain Business Seminar and Director, Events of the Business Finance Association.
Jessica Ireland
Jessica Ireland
Jessica Ireland is in her fourth year of university, pursuing her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Management and Organization and a minor in International Business. Jessica is currently President of the Business Exchange Association and has a passion for traveling, learning languages, and experiencing other cultures. She plans on going on exchange to Vienna, Austria in winter 2013 and visit as many countries as she can while she's there. Jessica also plans on participating with Streetlight Canada and the Alberta-Saxony program after graduation. Following her travels, Jessica hopes to build a career in the event management industry.

Alex Jamshedji
Alex Jamshedji is a fourth year Management and Organization major, minoring in General Entrepreneurship. He has been involved in a number of business events including the Annual Energy Services Summit and the Annual Henry Singer Awards. Outside of the Alberta School of Business, he is a lead organizer of the Edmonton Terry Fox Run and the Edmonton Walk for ALS. Alex currently operates an independent consultation service in partnership with the Government of Alberta, and recently completed a co-op education work term over the summer. In his spare time he enjoys anything to do with cars or music, or just spending time with friends.

Priya Kapur
Priya Kapur is a fourth-year student completing her major in Accounting and minor in International Business. She is a co-op student and completed one of her placements at the Alberta School of Business with the Technology Group. She is also the VP Internal on the Accounting Club and has volunteered at the Annual Tax Clinic. Priya has also travelled to China with the School on a business economics trip. This is Priya's second year as a student ambassador.

Tommy Laflamme
Tommy Laflamme is in his last year of the Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce program. He is majoring in Marketing, with a minor in Management and Organization. Due to the bilingual aspect of his program, Tommy is involved with a variety of groups and organizations both in the Alberta School of Business and at the University as a whole. He is proud to represent the diversity that our great school has before graduating and heading into the real world. Tommy plans to work for a not-for-profit organization or company once he graduates.
Keren Lam
Keren Lam
Keren Lam is currently in her final year and will be graduating with an Accounting major and International Business minor. She has been active with SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) as Vice President of Finance and worked with developing countries to create innovative business solutions for drinkable water. She enjoys being involved with the School and participated in an AIESEC exchange in Beijing, China, where she worked as an International Project Director of a marketing firm. Outside of school she enjoys travelling, swimming, badminton and volunteering in her community. When she isn’t studying, she can be found pursuing different activities she’s never done before to broaden her knowledge and life experience—such as cooking, baking, sky diving and learning new languages.
Kurtis Letwin
Kurtis Letwin is a third year Accounting major at the Alberta School of Business, with a minor in Strategic Management and Organization. He’s originally from a small town northeast of Edmonton where it takes only five minutes to drive through the whole community! He’s currently an External Director for the EDGE Business Competition and a Teacher's Assistant with the Management Science Department at the School of Business, and has attended a number of conferences and competitions on behalf of the business faculty, most notably the 2010 Deloitte National Leadership Conference.

Anna Leyva is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Commerce, Co-operative Education program majoring in Natural Resources, Energy and Environment.  In addition to her role as a Student Ambassador, Anna oversees the BSA Conference Fund and serves as the Vice President External for the 2012 EDGE Business Competition. Outside of school, Anna enjoys running, reading and travelling. Next year, Anna plans to complete her last Co-op term abroad through AIESEC!

Stanley Mah
Stanley Mah is a fourth year student majoring in Accounting. He is an after degree student in the Bachelor of Commerce program with his first degree being a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  He is currently the Vice President of Public Relations for the 2012 EDGE Business Competition. Some of the previous volunteer work he has done with the Alberta School of Business has been volunteering for Tax Clinic as well as Director of Logistics and Events for the 2011 Energize Conference. Outside of school, he enjoys golfing, fishing, cooking and snowboarding.
Chris McLeod
Chris McLeod is a third year accounting student in the perpetual debate of CA vs. CFA. He’s a transfer student from RDC, was born in raised in Alberta, and is interested in working in the energy industry and then possibly pursuing his MBA. His ultimate goal is to own a company in the energy sector.

Rebecca Nelson
Rebecca Nelson is in her final year majoring in Finance at the Alberta School of Business. As well as being a Student Ambassador, she enjoys playing sports and is part of a Ladies’ Intramural Volleyball team at the U of A. She participates in other sports including curling, and slow-pitch, and is a big fan of the Boston Red Sox. She is also involved in volunteer activities in her hometown of Camrose, Alberta, as well as the upcoming JDC West Competition hosted by the U of A in January. After school, Rebecca plans to pursue her CFP designation, and possibly her MBA.
Abisola(Abi) Ojikutu
Abisola Ojikutu
Abisola(Abi) Ojikutu, is a fourth year Accounting student in the Co-op program. She loves traveling and has completed a summer exchange program in Lille, France. On campus she has been involved with the student group AIESEC International and has volunteered for the Annual Tax Clinic, and the U of A Education Abroad office. She is actively involved in the community by volunteering at Canadian Blood Services as a Donor Ambassador and member of the Speakers Bureau, a group dedicated to speaking up to encourage individuals to donate blood. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching ballets, musical theatre, and poetry performances.

Anirudh Param is a third year Finance (Honours) major. He is VP Corporate Relations for the Business Finance Association, and VP Business Development for Golden Key International. Upon graduation he plans on pursuing his CFA and eventually an MBA to compliment his education. Ani enjoys playing soccer, trading stocks and spending time with his family and friends.

Greg Prizent
Greg Prizent is a third year student majoring in accounting. After exploring both science and economics programs, he realized that business was the right choice for him. Once  finished his degree, he hopes to start work on his Chartered Accountant designation.
  Amanda Sawatzky
As a third year Marketing major, Amanda is an involved member of the business community. Currently the Vice President Public Relations for Rocky Mountain Business Seminar (RMBS), Amanda is looking forward to seeing students, faculty and business professionals alike bring together their enthusiasm and expertise at the 2012 conference. In maintaining a balanced lifestyle Amanda enjoys being active, and is particularly passionate about the game of soccer. Looking to go on exchange in the winter semester of 2013, and currently involved in the Co-operative Education program, Amanda is determined to get as much out of her degree as she can before she graduates, and would love to share any of her experiences with those interested.
Katie Shea
Katie Shea is a third-year Accounting major at the Alberta School of Business. She's from a small town just west of Calgary, which means, to the dismay of many, that she cheers for the Flames. She has been involved in the Business Students Association before as a member of the Street Team and has volunteered in a variety of organizations within Edmonton, including the Ronald McDonald House and the Study Buddies program.

Huitian Shen (Vincy)
Huitian Shen is a third-year Accounting (Honours) major. She is an active participant in the campus and local community as a Peer leader in the Peer Program, a volunteer for Tax Clinic, a teaching assistant for an accounting course, and ultilizing her language and cultural advantages as teaching assistant for a Chinese language course. Her interests include becoming a CA, and engaging in a balanced career of accounting practice and research. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, doing yoga, and collecting all things that are cute.
Leo Tang
Leo Tang is a third-year BCom student majoring in Accounting, with a minor in Strategic Management and Organization. Beside being a Student Ambassador at the Alberta School of Business, he is the current President of Business and Beyond Toastmasters Club to help students with their public speaking skills. He is also involved with the Rocky Mountain Business Seminar 2011 as the Associate External.
Graham Taylor
Graham Taylor is a third-year student majoring in Finance. He is an After-Degree student in the BCom program, following his Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. Graham’s experiences at the U of A have included the International Study Abroad Program where he studied in Norway. He has presided over the University’s Student Blood Group (BADSA), and is an eager participant in many of the U of A’s community minded groups, including Make Poverty History and Frontier College. Outside of school, Graham enjoys escaping to the mountains for weekend ski holidays, running, and finding a new language and culture to immerse himself in.
