Financial Times

The University of Alberta MBA program is among the top MBA programs in Canada and is ranked among the top 100 business schools internationally in the Financial Times MBA Rankings (2015). This ranking measures the career development, research capability, and diversity of programs based on a detailed survey of alumni from each program.  The Alberta MBA ranked 3rd in Canada and 86th Globally.  The School ranked 31st globally for research, 72nd for the PhD program.

Executive MBA

Our joint Executive MBA program offered by Alberta and the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary is currently ranked 87th internationally in the Financial Times Executive MBA rankings.

Salary Growth

Alberta MBA graduates reported a 95% increase in their pre-MBA salary three years after graduation.  This is the highest percentage increase among MBA programs in Canada

The Alberta MBA is ranked 22nd in North America in the 2014 QS Global 200 Business Schools report.  The QS survey is employer focused and captures the preferred set of business schools that employers wish to recruit from.

History and Reputation

Arts BuildingFounded in 1908, the University of Alberta is one of Canada's foremost research-intensive institutions of higher learning. The University is home to more than 38,000 students enrolled in 170 graduate programs and 200 undergraduate programs.  The University is one of the top five universities in Canada and one of the top 100 worldwide. 

The Alberta School of Business is one of Canada's leading business schools, offering Bachelor of Commerce, Master, PhD and Executive Education programs.  The School began offering courses in 1916 as the School of Accountancy and graduated our first MBA class in 1966.  We are consistently rated among the best in Canada for research, teaching and community involvement.

The Alberta School of Business is also the longest continuously Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited business school in Canada.  AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide and stands as a testament to the diversity of programs, research strength and career development of alumni.
