Communications Committee

PURPOSE:                                                 

The MBAA Communications Committee exists to provide communications between the MBAA and the student body and administration.

COMPOSITION:

The Communication Committee shall have either a Chair or two Co-Chairs, appointed by the MBAA President for one year term. The Co-Chairs will each manage the communications mechanisms for the MBAA.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Communications Committee is accountable to the MBAA President for fulfilling its mandate. It is accountable to the MBA student body for the clear, concise, accurate, and quick communication of the events and pertinent information.  

MEETINGS:

The full Communications Committee shall meet at least once bi-monthly. The Committee will arrange additional meetings as required to fulfill responsibilities.

COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the liaison between the executive and the student body, Communications must keep the faculty and student body up to date on events, learning opportunities, and pertinent information.  The Common Roles are the distribution of the biweekly Insider, respond to MBAA general emails and communications within 1 working day, maintain and update the MBAA University website, and communicate with the President for Picatic tickets for events.  Additionally, the chair is required to attend a portion of Executive general meetings.
