First Year Rep - Governance

The First Year Representative Governance will:

  • Assist the MBAA President in the performance of that office
  • Maintain the permanent records of the MBAA
  • Ensure a current copy of the MBAA Constitution is on file with the Director of Operations
  • Prepare and distribute the Minutes of MBAA meetings

Select duties of the President include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the MBAA
  • Providing the primary point-of-contact for the MBAA for issues involving the Office of the Dean and the Associate Dean
  • Assisting the Vice-President Finance in preparing the MBAA Budget
  • Sitting as an ex-officio member of all MBAA committees and recognized clubs
  • Representing the MBAA at the following university committees:

a) The Business Alumni Association,

b) The Graduate Study Policy Review Committee,

c) The Business Council,

d) The Canadian Business Leader Award Selection Committee.
