2017 Camps

Game Design Challengers (Going into Grades 7-8) - Design and build your own video game by learning how to use game design tools such as Scratch, Kodu, Twine, and more. Create artwork, design characters, learn about storytelling in games, program interactive elements, and create a game to take home.

Game Design Innovators (Going into Grades 9-11) - Interested in designing interactive computer games? Design and create interactive stories using ScriptEase II, Kodu, Game Maker and other tools. These student-friendly tools allow campers with or without programming experience to create games. Learn about game development concepts and character design, use 3D design tools, and much more.

  • All camps are led by University of Alberta science and education students who are eager to share their passion for science with Alberta’s next generation of scientists.
  • All camps are designed for campers entering the following grades in their next school year.
  • With our diverse range of camps, there is something for everyone. No experience required!
