UPDATE - Winter 2022 programs to start week of January 24
20 January 2022
All delayed Winter 2022 programs will start the week of January 24, 2022.
All previously delayed courses, programs and leagues will start the week of January 24. We’re excited to welcome you back to our programs and facilities and thank you for your patience.
If you are planning to attend our in-person recreation classes, there’s no need to take any action. This message is just for your information and to confirm programs will proceed with the adjusted schedule as mentioned in our previous message.
If you have registered for one of the delayed classes, leagues or programs and are no longer able to attend, please let us know before the start of your first class. Contact our customer service team at (780) 492-2231 or activityreg@ualberta.ca so we can process a full refund for your registration and remove your place in the class.
Hours of operation
To ensure a quality customer experience, we have made the difficult decision to modify our hours of operation on North Campus. These modified hours will allow us to balance staff shortages due to COVID, customer service and facility demands.
Van Vliet Complex (Starting January 24 until further notice)
Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Hanson Fitness & Lifestyle Centre (Starting January 24 until further notice)
Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Wilson Climbing Centre, Aquatics Centre and Clare Drake Arena hours will not be impacted by these changes. During adjusted weekend hours, Aquatics Centre participants can access the facility via the West Pool doors by the Steadward Centre parking lot.
Spectators
To minimize contacts within the facilities, spectators will not be allowed until further notice. University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas events will welcome a limited number of spectators. (Please visit the Golden Bears and Pandas Website for information related to these events).
Participants will be contacted by email if further changes are made. Please email activityreg@ualberta.ca if you have any questions about this update.
