UPDATE - Winter 2022 Programs

Campus & Community Recreation values the health and wellbeing of its clients above all else. To provide safe opportunities for recreation in the face of the ongoing and evolving COVID-19 situation in Alberta, we have decided to make adjustments to our winter program schedule.

We know you were looking forward to taking part in our winter programs and we appreciate your patience as we make these difficult decisions and changes. The following are the adjustments:

Aquatics, Climbing, Curling and First Aid/CPR

Barring any further changes in public health restrictions, operational hours, or facility closures, these programs, leagues and classes will proceed as currently scheduled.

Dance, Martial Arts and Ice Skating Classes

*All in-person classes will be delayed until the week of January 24. Classes will now run for 10 weeks, rather than the originally scheduled 11 weeks. All participants will receive a credit on their account for the missed first week of classes. RecMix classes (Dance and Martial Arts) will be delayed one week as well, but will also be extended one week.

  • Dance Mix: January 28 to March 4
  • Martial Arts Mix: March 11 to April 8

Fitness Classes

*All in-person classes will be delayed until the week of January 24 and classes will be extended to the week of April 4. Participants will receive a credit on their account for any classes that can not be made up within the new course schedule.

*Some programs will continue as scheduled but will be delivered virtually from January 10 to 20. Registered participants in these programs (see below) will be contacted and given access to the ZOOM class links. After January 23 these classes will resume as in-person only classes.

  • Pilates Inspired Core (13605) Mondays 4:05 - 4:55 PM
  • Sculpt (13563) Tuesdays 4:05PM - 4:55 PM
  • Pilates Mat (13598) Tuesdays 6:05 - 6:55 PM
  • Yoga Flow (13599) Wednesdays 12:05 - 12:55 PM
  • Bootcamp (13567) Wednesdays 4:05-4:55 PM
  • Sculpt (13564) Thursdays 4:05-4:50 PM
  • Yoga - Beginner (13570) Thursdays 6:05 - 6:55 PM

Intramurals

League start dates will be delayed until the week of January 24 and league play will be extended one week to March 28. Some leagues will continue with a tentative start date of January 19: Wednesday Open Rec Soccer league and the Wednesday Open Competitive Soccer league.

Hockey leagues will not be impacted by these changes.

In addition, the deadline for league registration has been extended to January 18.

Outdoor recreation programs/events will proceed as scheduled at this time.

The Steadward Centre

PALS classes for programs 13777, 13778, 13779 will be cancelled for January 18, 19 and 21. Participants will receive a credit on their account for these cancelled classes.

All other Steadward Centre programming will not be affected by the above adjustments and will proceed as originally scheduled.

Winter 2022 Virtual Recreation Pass

Some virtual classes (Hip Hop, Ballet Barre and Yoga Flow) will be delayed until the week of January 24.
