Find out where to check in. Please be prepared to provide the required documentation and identification in order to access our facilities and programs.

Youth (Under 12)

Participants in youth indoor group classes, training and competition are required to:

  • Screen for symptoms
  • Maintain 2 metres distancing except while engaged in physical activity;
  • Wear a mask, except while engaged in high-intensity activities; coaches are requested to modify activities to allow participants to wear masks as much as possible
  • Youth under 12 will not need to provide identification, proof of immunization, or a negative test to access a facility or program at this time.
  • Youth under 12 will be required to be fully vaccinated (14 days past 2nd dose) effective May 1, 2021.

Adults and Youth (12 and older)

Participants (12 and older) in indoor group classes, training and competition are required to:

  • Screen for symptoms
  • Maintain 2 metres distancing except while engaged in physical activity;
  • Wear a mask, except while engaged in high-intensity activities; coaches are requested to modify activities to allow participants to wear masks as much as possible.
  • Show proof of full vaccination (14 days past 2nd dose)
  • OR Show proof of exemption (medical or protected grounds) and proof of a negative COVID-19 test completed within the previous 72 hours.
  • OR show University of Alberta CampusReady pass
  • AND Show valid photo identification or the University of Alberta OneCard that matches the vaccine record.

NOTE: Not all youth (under 18) will have proof of ID, and access will be granted without a photo ID.

Exemptions

Visitors with an approved exemption for protected grounds must provide an official U of A exemption letter with their valid photo identification and confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous 72 hours of attending U of A campuses.

Drop-in Activities

Check in at the Facility Services desk at Van Vliet Complex to receive your daily wristband.

Registered programs and courses

Check in when you arrive at your program location (room or facility). If your program location is HFLC or WCC, check in at the main desk in that facility. Aquatics registered program participants must check in at Facility Services.

Hanson Fitness & Lifestyle Centre (HFLC)

Check in at the HFLC main desk.

Wilson Climbing Centre (WCC)

Check in at the WCC main desk.

Aquatics Centre

Check in at the Facility Services desk at Van Vliet Complex to receive your daily wristband.

Intramural Leagues

Check in when you arrive at your league play location.

SOUTH CAMPUS (SCSC)

Drop-in Activities

Check in at the Saville customer service desk.

Registered programs and courses

Check in when you arrive at your program location (room or facility).

Saville Fitness Centre

Check in at the fitness centre main desk.

Saville Curling Centre
