Spring / Summer Program Details

Kung Fu
Kung Fu (Also available Outdoors)

This program will introduce you to the elements of Chinese martial arts (often named under the umbrella terms kung fu or wushu) and mindful movement to become better acquainted with your own body and mind. Classes will focus on techniques and conditioning to build into athletic movements (jumps, spins, and kicks) and choreography (individual and group routines). We will tap into your inner hero, promoting confidence, creative expression, fitness, stress relief, and social interaction as we practice.

12350: No class on May 24 & 31.
12351: No class on Aug 2.

Tai Chi
Outdoor Tai Chi

Come join us outside for an outdoor Tai Chi class. Practicing balance and flow for your life, tai chi (short for t'ai chi ch'üan or tàijíquán) is a martial art based on exploring the relationship between yin and yang and how transformations occur between complementary opposites. Step through some mindful movement and body mechanics, and pick up a few stress management and wellbeing tools for your practice.
