September is an exciting month at University of Alberta. Here's a rundown of all the upcoming orientation and back-to-school activities happening on the U of A North Campus in the coming weeks.

Residence Move-in Week
BaseCamp. Orientation program for first-year Lister students. 
Eastern Ascent. Orientation program for East Campus residents. 

Aug. 30-Sept. 1  

Transitions. Orientation for international students. 

Aug. 31  

TAWOW Welcoming Event. Annual welcome to new and continuing First Nations, Métis and Inuit students. 2 p.m. @ Education Gym.

Sept. 1  

BaseCamp BBQ @ Quad, 4-6 p.m.

Sept. 4  

Orientation for new students.
President David Turpin address to orientation students. 6 p.m. @ Butterdome.

Sept. 5-8   Week of Welcome (WOW). Daily pancake breakfasts, info village, activities, WOW Mainstage & beer gardens in Quad. Evening events including free movie night, comedy at the Myer Horowitz Theatre, Taste of the U, and more.
Sept. 5-6   Dean of Students Welcome. Hot dogs and Lemon-Aid for Student Aid. 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. @ Celebration Plaza. 
Sept. 8   Clubs Fair @ Quad
WOW Block Party with live music and fireworks @ SUB patio starting at 7 p.m.
Sept. 9
  East Campus Village Block Party, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on 88 Ave, between 110-111 St.
Sept. 20  

Go Abroad Fair. Find out more about learning, working and volunteering opportunities abroad.

Sept. 22-25   Alumni Weekend. Special events and activities across campus to welcome back our former students. 
Sept. 22
  Green and Gold Day. Get in the spirit by wearing your green and gold, and enjoying the festivities which include a parade, pep rally, and dodgeball @ Quad.
Sept. 24  

Turkey Trot. This is the 58th annual running for the walk/run that supports the United Way and Campus Food Bank.
Canada 150 celebration and Evergreen Pond park dedication. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. @ South Campus.

Sept. 26
  Furry Friends. Dogs in the library!
President David Turpin's annual State of the University Address
Sept. 27
  Careers Day. U of A's largest career event of the year. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. @ Butterdome.
Sept. 29
  Orange Shirt Day. Wear orange to remember and honour residential school survivors.
