Dean's Message

As the Dean of Campus Saint-Jean of the University of Alberta, I wish to welcome you!

For many years now, the Campus Saint-Jean has been training 21st century bilingual leaders prepared to play a determining role in the global village. The CSJ draws its strength and its vitality from its uniqueness as a Western Canadian university in a minority setting. The CSJ has strong support from the University of Alberta, the Franco-Albertan community, the growing Francophile community, the Prairie and Western Canada Francophonie, and also at national and international levels.

This vitality stems from a common vision that results in team work at the teaching level, the research level, the administrative level, and the cultural level. Every year we work together to perpetuate this shared vision that reflects the reality of the Campus Saint-Jean. What is certain is that, at CSJ, you will find a range of high quality programs offered in French in one of the best universities in Canada - an active social and academic environment, an accessible and courteous staff. We are an institution focused on the personal and social achievements of our students and also on a dynamic and pragmatic vision of the future of the Canadian Francophonie.

Do not hesitate to get in touch with me to maintain an open dialogue which will contribute to make sure that the Campus continues to fully play its leadership role in the Franco-Albertan community (both Francophones and Francophiles), within the University of Alberta, and within the framework of the Canadian Francophonie.
