Ceremony commemorating the December 6th, 1989 feminicide at École polytechnique de Montréal

Ceremony jointly organised with the Coalition des Femmes de l'Alberta

On December 6, 2019, the Coalition des Femmes de l'Alberta and the University of Alberta's Campus Saint-Jean will organise a joint ceremony commemorating the feminicide at the École polytechnique de Montréal that occurred on December 6th, 1989.

This solemn ceremony will take place at the Salon historique of the Lacerte Pavilion of Campus Saint-Jean.

• Address - Elizabeth Johannson, President, Non-Academic Staff Association
• Laying of 14 white roses at the foot of the « Trinity » statue by artist Patrick Jacob
• Address - Anne-José Villeneuve, Assistant Professor, Campus Saint-Jean
• Reading of a text - Josée Thibeault, Author, Spoken word artist
